psychotherapy services

This work is not one-size-fits-all.

Some people arrive with a specific concern, while others are not in crisis at all. They are looking for a consistent space to think out loud, deepen self-understanding, strengthen relationships, or maintain a sense of wellbeing.

Together, we clarify what you want from therapy, explore patterns and themes in your life, and support growth that feels intentional, steady, and sustainable.

individuals

City street scene with people walking and trucks parked along the side. Colorful paper lanterns hang across the street, with Chinese and English signs on buildings. Tall buildings tower in the background.

Individual therapy supports adults navigating anxiety, mood concerns, identity questions, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

Treatment is client-centered and offers the space to reflect and build insight at your own pace.

Identity & Culture as a lens

Identity and culture shape how challenges are experienced. Therapy is often an exploration of how different facets of culture impact our identities.

This work can include exploring themes of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, age, ability, the immigration experience, acculturation stress, family systems, and the impact of social and cultural expectations.

couples & relationships

Couples therapy focuses on patterns rather than blame. The work supports communication, repair, and understanding so relationships can feel more stable, connected, and honest.

Common focus areas include:

  • Ongoing conflict or emotional distance

  • Repeating arguments

  • Trust ruptures and repair

  • Life transitions

  • Interracial or multicultural dynamics

  • Desire discrepancies

  • Consensual non-monogamy and relationship agreements

Sex therapy addresses the emotional, relational, and cultural factors that shape intimacy and sexual experience. It can help reduce shame, build confidence, and support more satisfying connection with yourself or a partner. My approach is kink-aware and affirming of diverse expressions of sexuality.

Common concerns include:

  • Desire discrepancy

  • Performance anxiety

  • Pain or avoidance

  • Shame or guilt

  • Sexual identity questions

  • Intimacy challenges following stress or trauma

  • Questions related to kink, BDSM, or consensual non-monogamy
